The July 2025 MOT at 122,489 miles passed with no defects, confirming that the 2013 Ford Focus remains roadworthy after the earlier July 2025 failure at 122,478 miles and the August 2024 pass at 122,306 miles, indicating a stable and improving maintenance trend. The recorded mileage of 122,489 equates to roughly 9,422 miles per year over the vehicle’s 13‑year life, a figure consistent with average usage; the interval from the August 2024 test to the July 2025 test added only 183 miles, indicating low recent usage, while the jump from July 2023 (117,876 miles) to July 2024 (122,032 miles) shows a 4,156‑mile increase over a year, suggesting a period of more intensive driving. A buyer should therefore examine the suspension bushes and coil springs for wear, test the rear brakes for binding or uneven pad wear, inspect the brake discs for scoring, and look for corrosion on the wheel arches, chassis rails and exhaust system, as these components have shown recurring concerns in earlier tests; additionally, check tyre tread depth, wiper blade condition, and verify that no structural rust or damage is present beneath the paint.
