2019 BMW X3 2.0L Petrol · L70 OFS

The 2019 BMW X3 presents a clean and stable maintenance trend, with the most recent MOT conducted on 2026-02-11 at 82,155 miles returning a pass with zero defects. This outcome is consistent with the preceding four annual tests, all of which recorded no advisories or failures. The absence of recurring faults across the full history suggests diligent upkeep and no underlying mechanical or structural deterioration. Mileage accumulation sits at roughly 11,736 miles per year, which is typical for a vehicle of this age. The annual intervals between tests show steady, predictable usage: 57,376 miles in February 2022, 66,133 in February 2023, 73,403 in February 2024, 77,494 in February 2025, and 82,155 in February 2026. The increments range between approximately 4,000 and 9,000 miles per year, with no sudden spikes or suspicious gaps that would indicate long periods of inactivity or odometer anomalies. The record is complete and unbroken from 2022 onward. Despite the clean MOT history, a buyer should still carry out a thorough in-person inspection focused on components not always fully exercised during a standard MOT. The X3's suspension bushes, coil springs, and anti-roll bar links deserve close scrutiny, as these wear items can degrade between annual tests without triggering a failure until advanced. Brake discs and pads should be measured for wear, particularly at the rear, where binding calipers are a known issue on this platform. The underside must be inspected for corrosion, especially around subframes, suspension mounting points, and the exhaust system, as structural rust can develop quietly on BMW SUVs used in wet or salted conditions. Tyre condition and uneven wear patterns should also be checked, as these can reveal alignment or suspension geometry issues that a static MOT inspection may not capture.
