2020 Honda CRF 250 RLA-K 0.3L Petrol · LC20 HXZ

The vehicle maintains a technically roadworthy status based on its most recent inspection. The MOT performed on 2 August 2023 at 168 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This indicates a stable maintenance history, though the limited data set makes it impossible to track long-term mechanical trends or component degradation over time. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a six-year-old motorcycle, with only 168 miles recorded since its inception. This averages to approximately 28 miles per year, suggesting the bike has spent the majority of its life in storage rather than active use. While this low mileage implies minimal wear on consumables like the drive chain and brake pads, the long intervals between use introduce risks associated with static storage that a standard MOT test does not fully capture. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection focused on signs of degradation caused by long-term standing. Check for dry spots on the tyre sidewalls, perished fork seals due to inactivity, and potential degradation of rubber hoses and fuel lines. Inspect the drive chain for surface rust and ensure that the brake calipers are not seized, as infrequent use often leads to binding. Because the last test was nearly three years ago, verifying the structural integrity of the frame and the condition of the fluids is essential before purchase.
