2017 Toyota Aygo 1.0L Petrol · LR03 SKY

This Toyota Aygo has maintained a clean MOT history with no defects recorded across five consecutive tests, most recently passing on 23 June 2025 at 34,449 miles. The absence of advisories or failings suggests the vehicle has undergone consistent, if not meticulous, maintenance, with no evidence of recurring mechanical issues. The most recent test confirms compliance with current UK roadworthiness standards, though the gap of nearly a year since the last MOT—now over 12 months—means some wear items may have exceeded their typical service intervals. The lack of any advisory notes in prior tests implies no hidden or deferred problems were previously identified. The recorded mileage of 34,449 miles over nine years equates to approximately 3,828 miles annually, which is unusually low for a vehicle of this age. The most significant mileage jump occurred between the April 2023 (23,527 miles) and May 2022 (18,260 miles) tests, covering 5,267 miles in just over a year—a relatively modest but noticeable increase. The intervening periods, particularly between the May 2024 (29,612 miles) and June 2024 (29,649 miles) tests, show no mileage progression, suggesting the vehicle may have been stationary or lightly used during those months. While low mileage generally indicates less wear on high-stress components, prolonged inactivity can lead to other issues, such as degraded fluids or minor corrosion from exposure. Given the clean MOT record, a prospective buyer should prioritise an inspection of suspension components, particularly the coil springs and bushes, as these are prone to fatigue over time regardless of mileage. The brakes, though not flagged in tests, warrant close examination for uneven wear or binding calipers, especially if the vehicle has been stationary for extended periods. Tyres, while not noted in the MOT, should be checked for uneven tread wear or signs of age-related degradation, as the last test occurred over a year ago. Structural integrity, particularly around wheel arches and sills, should also be assessed for corrosion, as prolonged standing can accelerate rust formation in vulnerable areas. The absence of advisories does not guarantee all potential issues are absent, so a thorough visual and functional check remains essential.
