2016 Vauxhall Zafira Tourer Sri Cdti Au 2.0L Heavy oil · LS16 TZF

A consistent record of roadworthiness is evident across eight tests since 2020, culminating in a clean pass on 9 March 2026. Despite a failure recorded on 3 March 2026, the overall history is notable for a lack of recurring advisories or chronic defects, presenting a stable trend of compliance with DVSA standards over several years. The recorded mileage of 241,868 miles is exceptionally high for a vehicle of this age, representing an average annual accumulation of approximately 24,187 miles. This level of usage indicates significant wear on all primary mechanical consumables and drivetrain components. Such high mileage typically increases the likelihood of fatigue in suspension linkages and internal engine wear, regardless of the lack of recorded MOT failures. Given the absence of specific advisories in the MOT history, a physical inspection should focus on the symptoms of high-mileage fatigue. During a test drive, listen for knocks or clunks over uneven surfaces which would indicate worn suspension bushes or coil spring fatigue. Pay close attention to the steering for any excessive play or vibration at motorway speeds, and feel for any judder through the brake pedal which may suggest uneven disc wear. Attention should also be directed toward the drivetrain and chassis. Check for any oil misting around the engine seals and transmission, as high-mileage units are more prone to seepage. Ensure the gear transitions are smooth and there is no excessive vibration through the floorpan, which could indicate worn engine mounts or drivetrain imbalance.
