1995 BMW R1100 1.1L Petrol · M188 AJC

The 1995 BMW R1100 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 8 July 2025 at 63,114 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the preceding four annual tests from 2016 to 2019 also passed cleanly with no advisories raised. The vehicle shows no worsening mechanical faults across the available history. Recorded mileage stands at 63,114 miles against an age of roughly 31 years, equating to about 2,036 miles per year. The test on 5 April 2016 logged 57,667 miles and the 3 April 2019 test showed 62,332 miles, a gain of only 4,665 miles across three years. A six-year gap then separates the 2019 and 2025 tests, with just 782 miles added by July 2025. Such low, sporadic use implies long standing periods rather than active wear, though the sparse record leaves the intermediate condition unverified by DVSA data. A buyer should physically inspect the machine for corrosion on structural frame members and suspension mounting points given the age and intermittent use. Standing storage promotes rust on brake discs, caliper seizure, and degraded suspension bushes or perished rubber components unseen in the clean MOT entries. The low-mileage, advisory-free history suggests previous owners kept basic statutory testing current but offers no evidence of proactive mechanical care between tests. Verify tyre sidewall condition, brake line integrity, and final-drive spline wear before purchase, as these consumables and drivetrain items fall outside MOT scope yet degrade with time.
