2018 Honda Jazz 1.3L Petrol · M7 SEE

The 2018 Honda Jazz has maintained a consistent MOT pass record across five consecutive annual tests, with the most recent inspection on 29 August 2025 at 22,841 miles confirming no defects. This pattern suggests the vehicle has undergone regular servicing and has not experienced any recurring mechanical failures requiring advisory or fail grades. The absence of advisories or defects in the last five tests implies that major components—such as suspension bushes, coil springs, brake calipers, and exhaust systems—have remained within acceptable limits without requiring intervention. However, the most recent test being just under a year old (as of July 2026) means a full re-inspection is imminent, and any new issues would need verification beyond this record. The recorded mileage of 22,841 miles over eight years—approximately 2,855 miles annually—is unusually low for a vehicle of this age, indicating either very light usage or prolonged periods of storage. The consistent annual mileage increments (ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 miles per year) suggest no abrupt changes in usage patterns, which could have otherwise stressed components more rapidly. The lack of gaps between tests further supports that the vehicle has been kept in active circulation rather than left stationary for extended periods, which could accelerate wear on tyres, suspension seals, or battery health. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an in-person inspection of high-wear consumables, particularly the tyres for uneven tread wear or embedded debris, and the brake discs for scoring or excessive thickness variation. The suspension should be checked for visible corrosion on the lower arms or subframe mounts, as well as any play in the steering rack or bushings, which could develop over time despite the lack of MOT advisories. While the record shows no brake binding or exhaust leaks, a thorough check of the brake caliper pistons and rear brake shoes—especially if the vehicle has been stored—is advisable. Finally, the battery and alternator should be tested, as low mileage can lead to sulphation or reduced capacity over time.
