2020 Volkswagen Tiguan 1.5L Petrol · M80 ACP

The vehicle maintains a high standard of roadworthiness, evidenced by a consistent history of clean passes. The most recent inspection conducted on 17 May 2025 at 72,724 miles resulted in no recorded defects or advisories. This indicates a stable maintenance trend where the previous owners have proactively addressed mechanical safety and emissions requirements before they reached a point of failure during the formal DVSA test. The mileage pattern reflects consistent and significant usage, averaging approximately 12,000 miles per year over the six-year period. Between the May 2021 test at 50,056 miles and the May 2025 test at 72,724 miles, the vehicle covered over 22,000 miles. This steady accumulation suggests the car has been used regularly for motorway commuting rather than sitting idle, which is generally beneficial for engine health and brake components. The lack of significant gaps between tests confirms the vehicle has remained in active service throughout. While the MOT record shows no history of structural corrosion or mechanical failure, a physical inspection should focus on typical wear items associated with 70,000 miles. A buyer should check the condition of the suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers, as these components often show signs of degradation at this mileage. Given the consistent use, verifying the thickness of the brake discs and pads is also necessary to ensure they are not nearing the end of their service life despite the clean MOT history.
