2022 Honda Civic Advance I-MMD CVT 2.0L Hybrid electric (clean) · ME52 KEL

A pattern of consistent roadworthiness is the defining characteristic of this vehicle, evidenced by a clean MOT record with no recorded defects during its most recent inspection on 20 October 2025. The absence of any failures or advisories across the recorded testing history suggests that the mechanical components subject to MOT scrutiny have remained within acceptable operational parameters. This stability in the test results indicates that there are no immediate structural or safety-critical issues currently flagged within the official DVSA data. The vehicle exhibits an unusually low mileage profile for its age, having covered only 14,573 miles over approximately four years. This equates to an annual average of roughly 3,643 miles, which is significantly below the typical UK national average for a petrol-hybrid vehicle. While this low accumulation reduces the wear on high-frequency components such as brake pads, discs, and suspension bushes, such a low usage rate can also imply that the vehicle has spent extended periods stationary. Mechanically, this means that while drivetrain wear may be minimal, components that rely on regular movement to remain lubricated or to prevent seizing, such as brake calipers or various rubber seals, should be monitored. Given the lack of specific advisories in the MOT history, there are no documented defects such as corrosion, oil misting, or worn suspension linkages to focus on. However, because the low mileage suggests infrequent use, a prospective buyer should pay close attention to the braking system during a test drive. Listen for any unusual squealing or grinding noises and feel for any hesitation or unevenness in the brake pedal application, which could indicate that the calipers have been prone to sticking due to inactivity. The inspection should also include a check of the tyre surfaces for any signs of flat-spotting or uneven wear that can occur when a vehicle is parked for long durations. On the road, observe the steering for any pulling to one side or vibrations through the steering wheel, which would indicate issues with wheel alignment or tyre condition. Since there are no recorded failures regarding emissions or exhaust systems, the focus remains on ensuring that the low-usage profile has not resulted in any secondary issues related to component stagnation.
