2006 Vauxhall Zafira 1.6L Petrol · MF06 AHP

The vehicle currently holds an expired MOT status, as the most recent test occurred on 16 May 2023 at 114,204 miles. While the final result was a pass, the record indicates a lack of recent certification for over fifteen months, meaning the car has not been subjected to an official roadworthiness assessment since mid-2023. The maintenance pattern appears stable in terms of technical compliance, as the vehicle successfully cleared its retests on both occasions in 2022 and 2023 without lingering advisories. The recorded mileage of 114,204 over twenty years averages approximately 5,710 miles per annum, which is low for a vehicle of this age. The data shows very consistent usage patterns, with only 3,847 miles added between July 2022 and May 2023. This suggests the car has seen light, intermittent use rather than heavy fleet or motorway duty. However, the absence of MOT data for the current year is a significant gap that prevents an accurate assessment of the vehicle’s current mechanical state. Prospective buyers must conduct a thorough physical inspection of the chassis and subframes, as long-term storage or low usage can mask the development of structural corrosion that often goes unnoticed during short-interval testing. Given the age of the Zafira, you should specifically check the condition of the suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake lines for signs of perishing or oxidation. Ensure the engine bay shows no evidence of fluid leaks or neglected maintenance, as the lack of recent testing may indicate the vehicle has been standing idle for an extended period. A full mechanical appraisal is essential before returning this car to the road.
