2013 Toyota Avensis Excel D-4D Diesel · MJ13 MCN

The vehicle presents in a state of roadworthy status with a stable and improving maintenance trend. The most recent inspection conducted in September 2025 at 133,180 miles resulted in zero defects, indicating that the car currently meets all safety and emissions standards. This follows a period of clean passes throughout 2024 and 2025, suggesting that the mechanical integrity of the vehicle has been well-maintained by recent owners despite its high mileage. At 133,180 miles over 13 years, the Avensis averages approximately 10,245 miles per year, which aligns closely with typical UK usage for a diesel saloon of this age. The data shows consistent usage patterns, such as the 2,207 miles covered between April 2025 and September 2025. This steady accumulation suggests the vehicle has not suffered from long periods of neglect, which often leads to perished seals, seized brake components, or corrosion in older Toyotas. While the recent history is clean, the failure in the March 2023 test at 128,875 miles indicates a specific mechanical issue that was rectified before the subsequent pass in April of that same year. Because the record does not specify the exact reason for that failure, a buyer should perform a physical inspection to check for lingering wear on common high-mileage items like suspension components. Given the age, specific attention should be paid to the structural integrity of the underbody and the condition of the exhaust system to ensure no significant corrosion is beginning to develop beyond what the tester flagged.
