2020 Honda CB 650 RA-K 0.6L Petrol · MJ20 ENV

The vehicle’s most recent MOT test on 2 February 2026 confirmed full roadworthiness with no defects recorded at 12,659 miles, indicating a stable maintenance pattern leading into the current date. The absence of advisories or recurring failures suggests the bike has been kept in sound mechanical condition, though the 2024 and 2023 tests reveal minor inconsistencies. The 2024 inspection flagged front tyres worn close to the legal limit, a consumable issue that was likely addressed before the latest pass—though this implies basic upkeep was not consistently prioritised. No structural or drivetrain faults have been noted in the last two tests, reinforcing that major components have not been neglected. The recorded mileage of 12,659 miles over six years—approximately 2,110 miles annually—is unusually low for a motorcycle of this age, suggesting either very light use or prolonged periods of storage. The gap between the 2023 (6,048 miles) and 2024 (9,728 miles) tests indicates a significant mileage accumulation in just under a year, which could imply recent active use. However, the 2024–2026 period shows no recorded mileage progression, raising questions about whether the bike has been ridden since February 2026 or stored. This pattern warrants confirmation, as extended inactivity can accelerate wear on seals, battery health, and fuel system components. Given the sparse but consistent MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an in-person inspection of the tyres, brakes, and suspension. The 2024 tyre advisory suggests the front tyres may have been replaced since then—verify their age and tread depth, as uneven wear or low compound could indicate alignment or load-bearing issues. The brakes were not flagged in recent tests, but check for binding calipers, uneven pad wear, or corrosion on the brake lines, especially if the bike has been stored. Suspension bushes and coil springs should be examined for cracks or excessive play, as these components degrade gradually even with low mileage. Finally, inspect the battery and fuel system for signs of prolonged disuse, such as corrosion on terminals or stale fuel residue.
