2006 Renault Megane DYN-QUE DCI 106 E4 1.5L Diesel · MJZ 2095

The Renault Megane presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent test on 26 November 2022 at 119,090 miles returning a pass with no defects recorded. Prior tests in August 2021, August 2019, and August 2018 also passed cleanly, showing no worsening mechanical condition across the four-year span of available records. The vehicle carries no outstanding advisories or failures in the supplied history. Mileage accumulation sits well below typical averages for a 2006 vehicle, rising from 96,333 miles in August 2018 to 119,090 miles by November 2022, a total of 22,757 miles over roughly four years or about 5,690 miles annually. A gap exists between the August 2021 test at 111,952 miles and the November 2022 test at 119,090 miles, where the car covered only 7,138 miles in fifteen months, suggesting lighter use or periods of standing. The clean record across these dates implies the previous keeper maintained basic statutory test compliance, though sparse testing intervals limit insight into intermediate wear. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs given the vehicle's twenty-year age and low but irregular use, as prolonged standing can accelerate corrosion on structural members and seizing of calipers. The absence of recorded advisories means no tester flagged exhaust emissions or structural integrity concerns, yet DVSA tests capture only visible defects at the time. Verify underbody condition and brake binding manually before purchase, since the history offers no evidence of recurring faults but equally no confirmation of component renewal.
