2007 Honda CBR600RR 0.6L Petrol · MR54 RMD

The vehicle currently presents a stable roadworthiness status following a clean pass in the most recent test on May 26, 2026 at 21,820 miles. This result shows no recorded defects or advisories, representing a marked improvement over the 2022 period. The maintenance trend indicates that the current owner has addressed the mechanical concerns and safety failures identified in previous inspections. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 19-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 1,148 miles per year. There is a notable three-year gap between April 2022 and March 2025, during which the bike covered only 1,151 miles. While low mileage suggests less wear on the drivetrain and engine, such long periods of inactivity can lead to the degradation of rubber components, dry seals, and fluid contamination which are not captured by the MOT process. A buyer should conduct a thorough physical inspection of the exhaust system, as it was flagged as noisy in both March and April 2022 before the issue was seemingly rectified. Given that the 2020 test highlighted brake pads and tyres reaching the legal limit, and the 2022 failure involved a rear tyre with 1mm tread, it is vital to verify the current age and condition of tyres and braking hardware. Additionally, check for corrosion on brake discs and perished hoses, as the low-usage history often necessitates checking for age-related decay rather than mileage-related wear.
