2015 Ford Kuga 2.0L Diesel · MW65 GXE

The vehicle remains roadworthy, but the maintenance history indicates a clear trend of reactive rather than proactive care. The most recent test in November 2024 at 107,370 miles showed a pass despite an advisory for a nearside front tyre worn to the legal limit and showing uneven wear. This follows a pattern seen in previous years where the owner appears to only address consumable items when they reach a failure point during the MOT inspection process. At 107,370 miles over 11 years, the Ford Kuga has averaged approximately 9,760 miles per year, which aligns with typical UK usage for a family SUV. The mileage accumulation is consistent, with a 13,880-mile gap between October 2022 and October 2023, and another 11,725 miles between October 2023 and November 2024. This steady usage suggests the vehicle is used regularly, preventing moisture-related corrosion but placing standard stress on the suspension and drivetrain components. A buyer must prioritize an inspection of the front alignment and suspension geometry. The recurring reports of edge wear on tyres in 2022, 2023, and 2024 strongly suggest issues with worn suspension bushes, ball joints, or incorrect tracking settings that have not been rectified. Furthermore, the offside rear tyre advisory in 2023 regarding a nail and low tread reinforces the lack of attention to routine pre-test safety checks. While no structural failures have been recorded, the high mileage and age of the vehicle warrant a closer look at the brake discs and exhaust system for signs of excessive corrosion that the MOT tester may not have flagged.
