2015 Volkswagen Scirocco 1.4L Petrol · NA64 ABU

The vehicle currently holds a roadworthy status, having passed its most recent inspection on December 4, 2025 at 105,632 miles. The maintenance trend appears stable, as the car consistently secures passes following immediate failures in the previous two years. The record shows a pattern of rectification prior to retesting, suggesting that the previous owner was proactive in addressing identified defects to maintain legal compliance rather than allowing minor mechanical issues to accumulate. The mileage progression is consistent with an eleven-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 9,600 miles per year. Data shows a steady accumulation of roughly 9,900 miles between December 2023 and December 2024, and another 10,500 miles between December 2024 and December 2025. This regular usage indicates the vehicle has not suffered from long periods of stagnation, which is generally beneficial for seals, gaskets, and fluid components that can degradation when left stationary. While the most recent test recorded no outstanding advisories or defects, a buyer should focus physical inspection on components prone to wear at the 100,000-mile threshold. Given the history of failures followed by passes, it is vital to inspect the suspension bushes and coil springs for signs of perishing or cracking as these often trigger initial MOT failures. The buyer should also check for brake caliper binding or uneven pad wear and examine the structural integrity of the chassis, as the Scirocco platform is susceptible to surface corrosion in the rear sections as it ages.
