2005 Vauxhall Astra 1.9L Diesel · NB05 OAV

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the available MOT history data. The most recent test conducted on 4 February 2023 at 149,964 miles resulted in no recorded defects or advisories. This indicates that at the time of the last inspection, the Astra met all minimum legal safety standards without any immediate mechanical or structural failures being flagged by the DVSA tester. The mileage pattern remains consistent with a 21-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,141 miles per year. Between the 10 February 2022 test at 136,480 miles and the February 2023 test at 149,964 miles, the car covered 13,484 miles. This period suggests active annual use rather than long periods of dormancy which can degrade seals. However, because the last MOT was performed over three years ago, the current mechanical state of the vehicle is unverified and cannot be guaranteed by the historical record alone. A buyer must prioritise a physical inspection of the structural integrity, specifically focusing on sills and wheel arches, as these are common points of corrosion on this Astra generation. Given the lack of advisories in the previous tests, there is no documented evidence of recurring suspension bush wear or binding brake calipers, but the age of the vehicle means a thorough check of the rubber components, fluid leaks, and exhaust corrosion is essential to ensure no significant degradation occurred since the 2023 certification.
