2014 Honda Civic 1.8L Petrol · NL14 ACZ

The 2014 Honda Civic presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 18 November 2025 at 23,510 miles passed with no defects recorded, and the preceding examination on 27 November 2024 at 16,575 miles also returned a clean result. Across five consecutive MOT passes from June 2020 to November 2025, the vehicle has never accumulated an advisory or failure, indicating consistent mechanical condition under the testing regime. The odometer shows exceptionally low use for a twelve-year-old car. Recorded mileage rose from 14,831 in June 2020 to just 16,323 by May 2022, then to 15,662 in June 2021 showing a minor anomaly in sequencing, before reaching 16,575 in November 2024 and 23,510 in November 2025. Annual averages sit near 1,959 miles. A gap exists between the May 2022 and November 2024 tests with no recorded intermediate examination, and the final year added roughly 6,935 miles after a quiet period. Such low totals suggest extended standing or short urban trips rather than sustained motorway wear. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake calipers given the likelihood of perished rubber and seized components from long idle periods. The clean MOT history offers no flagged corrosion or exhaust emissions faults, yet DVSA visual checks do not measure hidden structural rust or degraded fluids. Verify the timing belt interval and brake disc condition, as minimal rotation can mask binding calipers and flat spots on tyres. Previous keepers clearly met statutory test requirements without deferring basic upkeep, though the sparse record leaves service history as the key unknown. Low mileage with a skipped 2023 test implies the car may have been laid up; confirm coolant and fuel system integrity before purchase.
