2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class 2.1L Diesel · NS16 AHS

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness, evidenced by a consistent history of clean passes. The most recent test on 16 January 2026 at 77,616 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This indicates a very stable maintenance trend where the previous owners have proactively addressed potential issues before they triggered failures, as no mechanical or structural weaknesses have been flagged across the last five inspection cycles. The mileage pattern is remarkably consistent for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,700 miles per annum. Between January 2024 and January 2026, the car covered 14,128 miles, showing a steady usage profile without unusual spikes. The gap between the December 2021 test and the January 2023 test shows a slight increase of 8,429 miles, which still remains within the expected annual range. This low-to-average mileage suggests less linear wear on the drivetrain, turbocharger components, and suspension assembly compared to high-mileage examples. Since the MOT record shows no advisories for suspension bushes, brake calipers, or corrosion, a physical inspection should focus on standard consumable items that fall outside the scope of the MOT test. Check for minor cracking on the tyre sidewalls, as low-mileage vehicles can suffer from rubber rot over time. Given the age of the car, also verify the condition of the rubber bushings and the state of the fluids to ensure no degradation has occurred despite the lack of recorded mechanical faults.
