2004 Suzuki Alto GL 1.1L Petrol · OLZ 1336

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the available MOT test history. The most recent test conducted on 20 September 2024 at 62,830 miles passed with no defects or advisories recorded. This indicates that the car remains in a condition that meets minimum safety and environmental standards, showing no signs of escalating mechanical degradation or structural failure typically seen in vehicles of this age. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 2004 registration year, averaging approximately 2,856 miles per year. The data shows a significant gap in usage between October 2019 at 62,640 miles and September 2024 at 62,830 miles, during which time only 2,190 miles were covered over five years. This suggests the car likely sat for long periods or was used very sporadically. While low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine, it often leads to the degradation of rubber-based components and seized parts that do not manifest through mileage alone. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on areas affected by long-term standing rather than high-mileage wear. Check for brake surface corrosion, seized calipers, and perished tyres as low use often leads to dry rot and uneven braking. Inspect the structural integrity of the chassis and underside for rust, as older Suzuki models are prone to corrosion which persists even if driven infrequently. Verify that the suspension bushes and shock absorbers are not leaking, as these components become brittle over time regardless of the distance travelled.
