2016 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4L Petrol · OW16 AAZ

This Vauxhall Corsa has maintained a consistently clean MOT history across five consecutive tests, all passing without any defects or advisories recorded. The most recent inspection, conducted on 6 June 2025 at 25,316 miles, confirms the vehicle remains roadworthy under current DVSA standards. There is no evidence of recurring mechanical issues or structural weaknesses in the official record, suggesting the car has been subjected to either diligent maintenance or minimal use over its lifetime. However, the absence of advisories does not preclude hidden wear—particularly in areas like suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake caliper binding—which are not always captured in a standard MOT. The recorded mileage of 25,316 miles over ten years equates to an average of approximately 2,532 miles annually, which is unusually low for a vehicle of this age. The consistent 12-month intervals between tests (with no gaps or abrupt mileage jumps) imply either light daily use or prolonged periods of storage. The steady progression from 14,285 miles in June 2021 to 25,316 miles in June 2025—without any sudden spikes—rules out aggressive driving or neglectful maintenance patterns. That said, low mileage does not guarantee longevity; components like battery health, fluid levels, and even minor corrosion could degrade over time regardless of distance travelled. Given the clean MOT record, a prospective buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of high-wear items not routinely tested. Focus on the suspension—particularly the condition of rubber bushes and coil springs for cracking or perished material—alongside brake discs and pads for uneven wear or glazing. The brakes were never flagged in past tests, but binding calipers or warped rotors could develop silently. Additionally, check for corrosion around wheel arches, sills, and the subframe, as rust can compromise structural integrity without immediate MOT failure. The engine bay should be examined for fluid leaks, particularly oil or coolant, which may indicate worn seals or a failing water pump. Finally, verify the battery’s state of charge and test the electrical system for intermittent faults, as low mileage can accelerate battery degradation.
