2009 Honda Civic 2.0L Petrol · P11 GDJ

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 14 February 2026 recorded a pass at 81 532 miles with no defects, confirming current roadworthiness. The maintenance trend is stable: after a brief failure on 6 February 2024 at 73 384 miles (no defects noted), the car returned to passing status and has remained defect‑free through the subsequent annual tests, indicating consistent upkeep. Mileage accumulation shows a low overall usage pattern for a 2009 model, averaging roughly 4 800 miles per year across its life. The annual increases were modest from 2023 to 2025 (2 638 miles in 2023‑2024, 2 381 miles in 2024‑2025), but the final year to February 2026 added 5 767 miles, suggesting a recent rise in activity. The presence of two tests on the same date in early 2024 hints at a retest rather than a gap in inspection, but the data otherwise reflects regular, yearly MOTs. For a prospective buyer, the clean defect history does not eliminate the need for a thorough physical inspection. Pay particular attention to suspension bushes and coil springs for wear, examine brake calipers and discs for binding or uneven wear, and assess the exhaust system for corrosion. Given the vehicle’s age, check for structural rust around sills and door frames, and verify tyre tread depth and uniform wear, as low mileage does not guarantee that consumables have been properly maintained.
