2021 Lexus RX 3.5L Hybrid electric (clean) · P70 OBA

This Lexus RX 450h lacks any documented MOT history, rendering a formal roadworthiness assessment impossible. Without test dates, advisories, or pass/fail outcomes, there is no evidence of maintenance trends—whether stable, worsening, or improving. The absence of records also precludes any evaluation of recurring faults, structural integrity, or critical systems like emissions or suspension. Buyers must treat this vehicle as a complete unknown, assuming no prior inspections or compliance with UK roadworthiness standards. Mileage data is entirely absent, which complicates any assessment of usage patterns. A 2021 model with no MOTs suggests either extreme neglect or deliberate concealment of service history. Even if the vehicle has been lightly used, the lack of documentation raises immediate red flags about transparency. Without a single test date or mileage reading, there is no baseline to gauge wear or adherence to manufacturer service intervals. Given the total absence of MOT records, a prospective buyer should prioritise a thorough mechanical inspection with a focus on high-risk areas. The suspension—particularly coil springs, bushes, and stabiliser links—should be checked for uneven wear or corrosion, as these components degrade predictably over time. Brake systems, including calipers, pads, and discs, warrant scrutiny for binding or excessive heat damage, while exhaust emissions should be tested for leaks or catalytic converter efficiency. Structural integrity, especially around wheel arches and sills, must be inspected for corrosion, as this model is prone to rust in high-salt regions. The CVT transmission should be assessed for fluid condition and unusual noises, as hybrid systems can hide underlying issues until failure. Without prior MOTs, no component can be assumed reliable.
