2008 Kawasaki ZX 600 P8F 0.6L Petrol · PG08 CFE

The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status with a consistent pass record over the last five years. The most recent MOT test conducted in February 2022 at 5,522 miles passed with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a period of clean passes dating back to a minor failure in 2019 for a missing rear reflector. The data suggests the motorcycle has been maintained to a functional standard without mechanical degradation or structural failures. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for an eighteen-year-old machine, averaging approximately 300 miles per year. Records show a very gradual increase from 5,393 miles in March 2019 to 5,522 miles in February 2022. This minimal usage indicates the bike likely sat for long periods or was used only for seasonal trips. While low mileage typically reduces wear on the engine, drivetrain, and brakes, it often introduces risks related to the degradation of rubber components and fluids that MOT tests do not capture. A buyer must focus their physical inspection on the risks associated with long-term storage rather than mechanical wear. The tester should check for cracked brake hoses, perished fuel lines, and degraded fork seals which can fail despite low mileage. Because the bike has not moved significantly since 2022, it is critical to inspect the brake discs for surface pitting and seized calipers. Inspect the tyres for flat spotting and sidewall crazing, as age-related rubber hardening is more likely than tread wear in this scenario.
