2009 Toyota Yaris 1.3L Petrol · PJ09 TYZ

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness, evidenced by a stable and consistent maintenance history. The most recent test conducted on 10 May 2025 at 27,794 miles passed with no defects or advisories recorded. This streak of clean passes across the last five years indicates that the vehicle has remained in good mechanical condition and has not suffered from recurring component failures or significant structural degradation. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 17-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,635 miles per year. Between May 2021 and May 2025, the car covered only 4,274 miles, moving from 23,520 to 27,794 miles. While this low usage suggests minimal mechanical wear on the drivetrain and engine components, the infrequent use carries risks associated with long periods of standing. The data shows a predictable and steady pattern of operation rather than erratic usage. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the degradation of rubber-based components rather than mechanical wear. Inspection should check for cracking or sidewalling on tyres, wiper blades, and suspension bushes, which perish over time regardless of mileage. Because the car has sat for long periods, it is vital to inspect the brake discs for corrosion or pitting and to ensure the calipers are not seized. Additionally, a check of the underside for structural rust is necessary, as low-mileage vehicles are not immune to environmental effects if stored in damp conditions.
