2013 Citroen C4 1.6L Diesel · PJ13 ABV

This Citroen C4 maintains a stable and exceptionally clean roadworthiness record. The most recent MOT on 15 July 2025 at 37,258 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of clean passes dating back to 2020, indicating a vehicle that has been kept in a high state of mechanical repair with no recurring failures or advisories. The mileage is remarkably low for a thirteen year old vehicle, averaging roughly 2,866 miles per year. Between 30 November 2020 at 33,285 miles and 29 June 2022 at 35,220 miles, the car covered just under 2,000 miles. This pattern of light usage continued through to the July 2025 test, where the odometer showed only 167 miles added since the previous year. Such low annual mileage suggests the car has spent significant periods stationary. While the MOT history is flawless, the lack of use presents specific risks. A buyer should physically inspect the tyres for flat spots or perishing due to age rather than tread wear. Brake discs should be checked for surface corrosion or pitting, and calipers should be tested for seizing, as binding calipers are common in vehicles that sit idle. The absence of any flagged suspension bushes, coil springs, or structural corrosion in the DVSA records is positive. However, the low mileage makes a full service history check essential to ensure the engine oil and coolant were changed based on time intervals rather than mileage. Inspecting the battery health and rubber seals is recommended to confirm that long-term standing has not degraded the vehicle's integrity.
