2005 Volvo XC70 D SE 2.4L Diesel · PKZ 3608

The vehicle has maintained a stable roadworthiness trend, with no defects recorded in the most recent MOT test conducted on February 19, 2023, at 177,024 miles. All preceding tests, dating back to November 2017, also resulted in a clean pass, indicating consistent mechanical health. The absence of advisories or failures suggests the vehicle has been well-maintained, with no recurring issues to suggest structural or mechanical deterioration. The mileage pattern is consistent with typical usage for a vehicle of this age. The most recent test, at 177,024 miles, reflects an average annual mileage of approximately 8,430 miles, which aligns with the expected wear profile for a 21-year-old vehicle. The tests are spaced roughly every 12 to 18 months, with no significant gaps or rapid mileage accumulation, indicating steady ownership and routine maintenance. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should focus on visual inspections for signs of consumable wear, such as tyre tread depth and wiper blade condition. While the record does not highlight structural or mechanical concerns, it is prudent to examine the suspension components, including bushes, coil springs, and control arms, for any signs of wear or damage. Additionally, the brake system should be checked for even wear on discs and pads, as well as any evidence of binding calipers or fluid leaks. Finally, the vehicle's undercarriage should be inspected for corrosion, particularly around the exhaust system and wheel arches, as these areas are prone to rust given the vehicle's age.
