2008 Audi A4 3.0L Diesel · R222 ACP

The 2008 Audi A4 presents as roadworthy following the most recent DVSA test on 21 February 2026 at 97,787 miles, where the examiner issued a pass with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend is stable. From the February 2024 examination through to February 2026, the car passed each year with clean sheets. The only anomaly is the failure on 28 January 2023 at 81,528 miles, which logged no defects before a pass twelve days later at 81,572 miles. At eighteen years old the vehicle shows 97,787 recorded miles, a low average of about 5,433 miles per year. The odometer climbed from 81,572 miles in February 2023 to 83,768 in February 2024, then 89,448 in February 2025, and 97,787 in February 2026. Such restrained annual increments point to light use or extended standing. The sparse ledger before 2023 offers limited insight, yet the existing tests flag no worn tyres, failed wiper blades, degraded suspension bushes, or pitted brake discs. Consecutive passes imply previous keepers met statutory obligations on time. A purchaser should still inspect coil springs, binding calipers, and structural corrosion points on a ramp. The January 2023 refusal with zero defect entries likely stemmed from a non-mechanical omission such as paperwork or a minor lamp fault; obtain the full refusal notice to confirm. Low mileage and age can conceal moisture-driven rust on sills and subframes despite clear exhaust emissions results. Verify chassis rigidity and brake disc condition before commitment.
