2011 SEAT Leon 1.8L Petrol · R99 HKM

The 2011 SEAT LEON demonstrates stable roadworthiness based on its most recent MOT record, which showed a pass at 68,601 miles on 2022-03-26 with no defects. No prior tests are documented, but the absence of recorded failures suggests consistent compliance with safety standards up to that point. The vehicle’s low annual mileage of ~4,573 miles over 15 years implies infrequent use, which may reduce wear on components like tyres and brakes but could also indicate periods of inactivity, increasing risks of corrosion or fluid degradation. The MOT history is limited to a single test, leaving no data on earlier maintenance trends. The gap between 2022 and the current date of 2026-07-17 exceeds four years, exceeding the standard MOT interval and raising questions about ongoing compliance. While the 2022 test found no issues, the lack of subsequent records means critical components—such as suspension bushes, coil springs, or exhaust emissions—remain unverified. This absence of data necessitates caution, as prolonged inactivity could mask developing faults. A buyer should prioritise inspecting the suspension for worn bushes or coil springs, which may degrade without regular use, and check brake discs for corrosion or uneven wear, as stagnant vehicles often suffer binding calipers. The exhaust system should be scrutinised for rust, and structural integrity assessed for signs of body corrosion, particularly in areas prone to moisture. Given the sparse MOT history, a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic is strongly advised to confirm the vehicle’s current condition.
