2019 Honda Civic 1.5L Petrol · RF19 CWN

The vehicle passed its most recent MOT on 16 March 2026. The overall maintenance trend is exceptionally stable, with a consistent record of passes and very few advisories over the last four years. This suggests a vehicle that has been well-maintained and has not suffered from significant mechanical failures or structural corrosion, indicating a high level of general roadworthiness and a disciplined approach to its upkeep. With a recorded mileage of 39,149 miles over approximately seven years, this Honda Civic has been used significantly less than the UK average, averaging roughly 5,593 miles per year. While low mileage generally implies reduced wear on the engine and drivetrain, it often indicates a pattern of short journeys or extended periods of standing. This specific usage profile requires a shift in inspection focus from high-mileage wear-and-tear to time-based degradation of rubber and fluid components. The most recent MOT highlights that both rear tyres are worn close to the legal limit and exhibit wear on the edges. This pattern can suggest a potential wheel alignment issue or inconsistent tyre pressure management. During a test drive, the buyer should listen for excessive road noise from the rear and visually inspect the tread depth across the full width of the tyre. As there was a previous advisory regarding front tyre wear in 2022, it is likely that the vehicle is due for a comprehensive replacement of its tyre set to ensure optimal grip and safety. Given the low annual mileage, the buyer must verify that the vehicle has adhered to a calendar-based service schedule rather than relying solely on mileage intervals, as engine oil and brake fluid degrade over time regardless of distance travelled. Particular attention should be paid to the tyre sidewalls for signs of perishing or ozone cracking due to age. Additionally, the buyer should check for brake disc corrosion or binding calipers, which can occur when a vehicle stands for extended periods, and ensure the 12V battery is holding a strong charge, as infrequent use often leads to premature battery failure.
