This vehicle’s most recent MOT test on 9 March 2023 confirmed full roadworthiness with no defects recorded at just 3 miles. The absence of advisories or failings suggests the tester found no immediate cause for concern regarding structural integrity, suspension, brakes, or exhaust emissions at that point. However, the test occurred nearly three years ago, meaning the vehicle has not undergone mandatory roadworthiness assessment since. Given the extreme low mileage—3 miles over nearly 26 years—there is no evidence of wear or usage to validate the vehicle’s current condition beyond that single pass. The recorded mileage pattern is highly unusual for a vehicle of this age, with no intermediate readings between the 2023 test and today. Such minimal movement raises questions about storage conditions, potential neglect, or even the possibility of tampered mileage. The lack of any subsequent MOTs or mileage progression also means there is no data to confirm whether the vehicle has been subjected to regular servicing or if critical components like tyres, brakes, or fluids have been maintained. Without recent movement or inspection, the risk of deferred maintenance—particularly in areas prone to deterioration like suspension bushes, coil springs, or corrosion—cannot be ruled out. Given the sparse MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an immediate, thorough inspection of the vehicle’s structural condition, focusing on areas commonly affected by prolonged inactivity. Check for signs of rust penetration in the chassis, sills, or wheel arches, as well as the integrity of suspension components, which may have degraded even without significant mileage. The brakes should be examined for binding calipers, uneven wear, or corrosion on the discs and pads, while the exhaust system should be inspected for leaks or structural weakness. Given the lack of recent movement, tyres—though not flagged in the MOT—may require assessment for dry rot or uneven wear, as they could have been left in a stationary state for an extended period. The absence of any recorded advisories or defects does not guarantee current reliability; rather, it underscores the need for a hands-on evaluation.
