2014 Toyota Auris 1.8L Hybrid electric (clean) · RK14 ADX

This vehicle presents an exceptionally stable roadworthiness profile. The most recent MOT on 30 March 2026 at 41,779 miles resulted in a clean pass with no defects recorded. This follows a consistent five-year trend of first-time passes without a single advisory or failure since March 2022. The mileage is remarkably low for a twelve-year-old car, averaging roughly 3,482 miles per year. The accumulation has remained steady and predictable, increasing by approximately 3,000 miles annually between the March 2022 test at 29,707 miles and the March 2026 test at 41,779 miles. There are no erratic jumps in mileage that would suggest undisclosed commercial use or periods of extreme neglect. The absence of any recorded defects over five years is rare and suggests a high standard of preventative maintenance. Because the car has covered so few miles, the primary mechanical risk is not wear and tear but degradation from inactivity. A buyer should specifically check for perished rubber components, such as suspension bushes and tyre sidewall cracking, which can occur even if the tread remains deep. Inspect the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting and check for binding calipers, as low-use vehicles often suffer from seized sliders. While the MOT record shows no structural issues, a physical check of the underbody for corrosion is advised to ensure the vehicle has been stored in a dry environment.
