2006 Audi A3 S Line TDI 2.0L Diesel · RKZ 6587

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by three consecutive MOT passes without any recorded defects. The most recent test conducted in January 2024 at 192,638 miles resulted in a clean pass with no advisories, suggesting that the previous owner has maintained the primary mechanical and safety systems to a standard. While a failure occurred in July 2019 at 159,059 miles, the immediate rectification and pass three days later indicate a minor issue rather than a pattern of chronic mechanical neglect. The mileage pattern is remarkably consistent, averaging approximately 9,600 miles per year, which aligns perfectly with typical annual usage for a vehicle of this age. The data shows a steady accumulation of miles, such as 13,270 miles covered between December 2022 and January 2024, and another 6,015 miles between October 2021 and December 2022. This regularity suggests the car has likely not suffered from long periods of stagnation, which often leads to seal degradation and fluid issues, though the total distance of nearly 200,000 miles places significant life on high-wear drivetrain components and turbochargers. Given the high mileage, a physical inspection must focus on components prone to age-related fatigue that the MOT test does not always catch. Priority should be given to checking the subframe for structural corrosion and inspecting the suspension control arm bushes, as these often perish on older Audi TDI models. Although the MOT record is clean, the buyer should also examine the brake discs for thinning and check the turbocharger for signs of oil weeping or excessive play, as the cumulative mileage will impact the longevity of the diesel engine's auxiliary systems.
