2007 Mazda MX-5 1.8L Petrol · RW51 ACW

A consistent record of roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with eight consecutive MOT passes from 2019 through to the most recent test on 11 February 2026 without a single defect or advisory recorded. This stability indicates that the vehicle has consistently met the minimum legal requirements for safety and emissions without the common degradation typically seen in vehicles of this vintage. The recorded mileage of 20,116 miles is exceptionally low for a nineteen year old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,059 miles per year. Such a low accumulation rate indicates the car has spent significant periods stationary or has been used very sparingly. Mechanically, this means that while drivetrain and suspension components have avoided high-mileage wear, the vehicle is subject to the effects of low usage rather than operational fatigue. Because the MOT history contains no advisories or failures, there are no specific mechanical defects such as corroded subframes, worn suspension bushes, or leaking dampers to target for repair. The roadworthiness record is clean, providing a baseline that suggests the vehicle has avoided the typical wear-and-tear failures associated with this model. A test drive should be used to verify that the vehicle operates as smoothly as the records suggest. The buyer should specifically check for any pedal judder or steering pull, and listen for knocks over bumps, to ensure that the lack of recorded suspension or braking defects is reflected in the vehicle's actual handling.
