2003 Saab 9-3 2.0L Petrol · RX53 AOG

This 2003 Saab 9-3 demonstrates an exceptionally stable maintenance trend, culminating in a clean pass on 13 July 2024 at an unspecified mileage. The historical record displays a complete absence of test failures or advisory notices across the three most recent annual examinations, stretching back to the July 2022 test. Such a pristine record indicates that previous keepers addressed mechanical issues proactively rather than deferring maintenance, resulting in a mechanically sound vehicle at this stage of its lifecycle. The odometer currently stands at 150,873 miles, which calculates to an average of roughly 6,560 miles per year over its twenty-three years on the road. This mileage accrual rate sits squarely within normal UK driving parameters for a diesel or petrol saloon of this vintage. The available MOT data is concise and uninterrupted, showing consistent annual presentation without lapsed test periods or prolonged storage gaps that typically induce seized brake components or degraded rubber hoses. Prospective buyers should direct their physical inspection toward components that frequently escape notice during automated testing yet suffer from age-related fatigue on high-mileage Saab platforms. Pay close attention to the subframe structural integrity, suspension bushes, damper efficiency, and the condition of brake discs and flexible hydraulic lines. While the lack of recent advisories is encouraging, a thorough ramp inspection remains essential to verify the condition of the underbody and drivetrain before final purchase.
