2016 Vauxhall Astra 1.4L Petrol · RX66 CYL

The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status, having passed its last three MOT examinations without failure. The most recent test in October 2025 at 81,614 miles resulted in no recorded defects, indicating that the previous mechanical issues identified in earlier years have been addressed. The transition from tyre-related advisories to a clean test sheet suggests the current owner is proactive in maintaining consumable components before they reach a failure threshold. The mileage pattern is consistent with a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,100 miles per year. Between October 2021 at 51,794 miles and October 2024 at 77,511 miles, the car covered 25,717 miles, representing a steady usage profile. There are no significant gaps in the mileage that would suggest the vehicle has sat stationary for long periods, which is generally beneficial for the health of rubber components, seals, and brake systems that can seize or perish during inactivity. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the tyre condition, as the records from 2021 and 2022 highlight recurring issues with sidewall damage, cuts, and uneven wear. While these appear resolved in recent tests, the nearside front tyre wear noted in November 2022 could indicate a lingering alignment issue or worn suspension bushes that require checking. Given the age of the Astra, a thorough inspection of the chassis for corrosion and the condition of brake lines is advisable, though the MOT record does not currently flag structural integrity concerns.
