2011 Mercedes-Benz C 6.2L Petrol · S4 CHP

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness with a consistently clean pass record over the last five years. The most recent inspection conducted on 29 April 2025 at 82,390 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This sustained clean streak indicates a stable maintenance trend where the previous owners have proactively addressed mechanical issues before they could trigger MOT failures, suggesting the vehicle remains well-sorted between annual testing intervals. The mileage profile is notably low for a fifteen-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 5,500 miles per annum. Between May 2021 at 71,411 miles and April 2025 at 82,390 miles, the car covered only 10,979 miles. This low usage suggests the vehicle was likely used for short-distance urban trips or remained stationary for extended periods. While low mileage typically reduces wear on the engine and drivetrain, it can also increase the risk of degradation in rubber-based components and fluids due to age rather than use. Despite the lack of recorded faults in the MOT history, a physical inspection should focus on components susceptible to age-related decay rather than mileage-related wear. A buyer should specifically examine the suspension bushes, control arm ball, and shock mounts, which can crack or perish over time regardless of distance. Given the low mileage, checking the brake calipers for seizing or corrosion on the discs is essential as infrequently used vehicles often suffer from surface rust. The chassis should also be inspected for signs of structural corrosion at the rear arches and under mounting points.
