2012 Land Rover Range Rover Sport 3.0L Diesel · S6 UAB

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a clean record across the two most recent testing cycles. Following a failure in the August 2023 test at 124,106 miles, the car passed with no defects or advisories recorded. This indicates an improvement over the 2020 period where the vehicle failed for minor issues and corrosion, suggesting that the current owner has addressed identified mechanical weaknesses and maintained a higher standard of upkeep recently. The mileage pattern remains consistent with a 14-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,865 miles per year. There is a notable gap in records between May 2019 and December 2020, during which the vehicle covered roughly 3,100 miles. Since the August 2022 test at 116,438 miles, the car has covered 7,668 miles. This steady usage suggests moderate operation, which generally mitigates excessive wear on the complex air suspension system and drivetrain components typical of the Range Rover Sport. A physical inspection should focus on the power steering system, as the tester flagged a corroded hose in 2020. While the 2023 test showed no defects, corrosion on hydraulic lines is progressive and can lead to leaks. The buyer should also verify the condition of the brake components and tyres, as the 2019 record noted thin pads and worn tyres. Given the presence of under trays mentioned in 2020 which restricted full inspection, a thorough check of the chassis for structural integrity is necessary to ensure no hidden rust has developed beneath the protective shielding.
