1999 Land Rover Freelander 2.0L Diesel · S932 APL

The Land Rover Freelander presents a stable roadworthiness trend across its recent testing cycle, with the most recent examination on 7 December 2021 at 177,064 miles returning a pass and no defects recorded. The vehicle cleared every annual test from 2018 through 2021 without advisories, indicating the previous keeper maintained baseline compliance with statutory standards during that period. Annual mileage averaged roughly 6,558 miles against the vehicle's 27-year lifespan, a figure consistent with typical use for a 1999 Freelander. The records show steady annual accumulation: 127,505 miles in December 2018, rising to 146,033 by December 2019, 162,481 in December 2020, and 177,064 at the final test in December 2021. No gaps or sudden jumps appear in the sequence. The DVSA data is sparse but clean, with no advisories or consumable wear flags logged across the four-year span. A notable anomaly occurs on 7 December 2018, where the tester issued both a fail and a pass at identical mileage of 127,505 with no defects recorded on either entry. This suggests an administrative retest or system duplication rather than a mechanical fault, but a buyer should confirm with the DVLA the exact circumstances of that dual entry before purchase. Given the absence of flagged suspension bushes, brake discs, corrosion, or exhaust emissions issues in the official history, the buyer should still commission an independent inspection of structural integrity and drivetrain components. At 177,064 miles and 27 years old, hidden rust to chassis members and worn coil springs or binding calipers remain plausible despite the clean MOT trail.
