2012 Vauxhall Corsavan 1.2L Diesel · SA12 MWD

The vehicle is currently roadworthy but the maintenance history reveals a trend of reactive rather than preventative care. While it passed its latest test in July 2025 at 127,331 miles, the failure just one month prior at 127,291 miles highlights significant mechanical neglect. The tester identified seriously weakened front brake discs and a major brake imbalance across the axle, alongside a missing anti-slip provision. This suggests the previous owner only addressed critical safety components when forced by a failure rather than performing routine mechanical inspections. The recorded mileage of 127,331 miles over 14 years reflects an average usage of approximately 9,100 miles per annum, which is consistent with a commercial vehicle of this age. The data shows consistent annual testing intervals, with roughly 7,000 miles covered between the June 2024 and June 2025 tests. However, the rapid wear on components, such as the deteriorated CV boot noted in 2022 and the recurring tyre issues, indicates that the miles driven have been physically demanding despite the moderate total figure. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection of the front braking system and suspension. The 2025 failure for weakened discs and imbalanced brakes implies the calipers or rotors may be suffering from excessive corrosion or uneven wear. Furthermore, the light misting on the nearside front shock absorber recorded in 2023 should be checked for active leaks which would indicate imminent failure. The recurring mention of tyres worn on the edge across 2024 and 2025 also suggests an ongoing alignment issue or worn suspension bushes that require attention to prevent premature replacement of new rubber.
