2017 Volkswagen Golf GT Edition TDI BMT S-A 2.0L Diesel · SB03 ANB

The vehicle remains roadworthy with no defects recorded in its most recent January 2025 MOT at 113,763 miles. All prior tests from 2021 to 2023 also passed without issues, indicating a stable maintenance trend. No advisories or failures suggest the car has been consistently maintained to meet legal standards, though the absence of recorded defects does not guarantee absence of underlying wear. The mileage progression shows rapid accumulation, with 57,556 miles in February 2021 rising to 113,763 by January 2025—a 56,207-mile increase over 41 months. This equates to an average of 13,700 miles annually, exceeding the typical 12,640 figure cited. Gaps between MOTs of 12–14 months suggest regular use but no evidence of prolonged inactivity. The clean record implies no major failures, though high mileage may accelerate wear on components like suspension bushes, brake discs, or exhaust systems. A buyer should inspect for signs of wear not captured in MOT data, such as corrosion on chassis components, uneven brake pad wear, or suspension play. The absence of advisories on tyres, steering, or exhaust in the record is positive, but high mileage increases the likelihood of hidden issues. Pay particular attention to the rear brakes, as binding calipers or warped discs could develop unnoticed. Structural integrity should also be verified, as rust or fatigue cracks may not appear in routine tests.
