2017 Vauxhall Astra 1.4L Petrol · SG67 VFS

The 2017 Vauxhall Astra presents as roadworthy based on the most recent MOT test conducted on 7 May 2025 at 63,564 miles, where the tester issued a pass with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend across the available history is stable, showing no escalating mechanical concerns. Earlier tests likewise returned clean results aside from two anomalous failures lacking defect entries. Mileage accumulation sits at roughly 7,063 miles per year against the vehicle's nine-year life, a typical figure for this age bracket. The odometer advanced from 50,919 miles on 17 March 2023 to 50,948 miles a week later, then to 57,099 miles by 21 March 2024 and 57,180 miles four days after. A modest 6,384-mile gain occurred between the March 2024 pass and the May 2025 test. The record is sparse but clean, with no gaps exceeding thirteen months between tests. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of core mechanical assemblies despite the absent advisories. The MOT entries show no flagged wear on brake discs, calipers, suspension bushes, coil springs, or structural corrosion, yet the two failures on 17 March 2023 and 21 March 2024 with zero defects suggest the previous owner neglected test formalities rather than mechanical upkeep. Verify the vehicle's documentation trail and examine underside for rust, check brake component thickness, and assess suspension articulation to confirm the clean record reflects reality.
