2016 Volkswagen Caddy Maxi C20 Life TDI Heavy oil · SH16 PVU

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status based on the latest available inspection data. The most recent MOT, conducted on January 6, 2022, passed with no defects recorded, indicating that the vehicle met all safety and environmental standards at that time. While the history shows intermittent failures immediately preceding successful passes, the transition to clean test sheets suggests that the previous owner addressed identified faults promptly to maintain road legality. The mileage data indicates a relatively low-mileage profile for a 2016 model. The vehicle recorded 32,652 miles in February 2020 and 38,386 miles by January 2021, representing an accumulation of only 5,734 miles over eleven months. However, there is a significant gap in data following the January 2022 test. With the current date being July 2026, the vehicle has not undergone an MOT in over four years, making it impossible to determine if the car has been sitting stationary or if it has undergone high-mile use during this unrecorded interval. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the components that likely caused the failures in 2020 and 2021, as the specific mechanical reasons were not detailed in the summary. Because these failures occurred on consecutive days, they likely involved easily rectified consumable items such as bulbs, wiper blades, or minor exhaust-related components. Given the long lapse since the last official test, it is critical to inspect for rubber degradation, tyre sidewalling, and corrosion on the chassis and brake lines, which can occur rapidly if the vehicle has remained stationary for long periods.
