2003 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Petrol · SJ03 TYV

The vehicle currently holds a roadworthy status following a clean pass on February 12, 2026, at 87,498 miles. The maintenance trend appears stable, as the car has transitioned from a period of intermittent failures to a string of clean results. The most recent test showed no defects or advisories, indicating that the previously identified mechanical issues have been addressed and the vehicle is currently meeting the minimum safety standards. The mileage profile is notably low for a 23-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,800 miles per year. Between February 2024 and February 2025, the car covered only 1,377 miles, followed by another 1,300 miles in the year leading up to the most recent test. This low usage suggests the vehicle has seen minimal mechanical wear on the drivetrain and engine components, though long periods of standing often lead to age-related degradation such as perished rubber components or fluid breakdown rather than mileage-based fatigue. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the components that caused the failures in 2024 and 2025, although the record provided does not specify the exact nature of those rejects. Given the age of the Corsa, a thorough check of the structural integrity is essential, particularly around the sills and wheel arches where corrosion is common on this model. The buyer should also inspect the braking system for seized calipers and suspension bushes, as low-mile vehicles frequently suffer from surface rust and perished rubber during inactivity.
