2018 Volvo XC60 Momentum D4 AWD Auto 2.0L Heavy oil · SJ68 ADV

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness based on a consistent history of clean passes. The most recent test conducted on 28 April 2025 at 63,250 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, indicating a stable maintenance trend where the previous owners have proactively maintained the vehicle to DVSA standards. There is no evidence of recurring mechanical failures or structural degradation in the recorded history. The mileage pattern is consistent with typical usage for an eight-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,000 miles per annum. Between October 2021 (25,647 miles) and April 2025 (63,250 miles), the car covered roughly 37,600 miles, showing a steady rate of use. The interval between the 2022 and 2024 tests shows a 14,307-mile gap suggests the vehicle has not suffered from long periods of inactivity, which is beneficial for the condition of seals, bushings, and rubber components. While the MOT record is devoid of faults, a physical inspection should focus on components that wear out over time rather than just mileage. Given the age of the XC60, the buyer should inspect the suspension arm bushes and coil springs for signs of cracking or fatigue, as these often age beyond mileage. The brake system should be checked for disc pitting or uneven wear, as the MOT does not measure the remaining life of pads or rotors. The lack of advisories across four tests suggests the vehicle has been well-cared for, but the buyer must verify the condition of the tyres for uneven wear and check the structural integrity of the lower chassis for any unexpected corrosion. The clean data indicates a well-maintained example that has avoided the common mechanical pitfalls seen in higher-mileage SUVs.
