2016 Volkswagen Tiguan SE NAV TDI BMT 4MOTION 2.0L Diesel · SM66 AYZ

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness, evidenced by a consistent history of clean passes. The most recent test conducted on 29 December 2025 at 119,182 miles resulted in no recorded defects or advisories, indicating that the current owner has maintained the vehicle to a standard that meets regulatory requirements. The maintenance trend remains stable, with no recurring mechanical failures or structural weaknesses appearing across the recorded years. Mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 12,000 miles per annum. The data shows a steady usage pattern, such as the 13,624 miles covered between the December 2023 and December 2024 tests, and another 11,732 miles between the 2024 and late 2025 tests. This regular interval suggests the car has been used for routine commuting rather than sitting for long periods, which is generally beneficial for the health of the drivetrain and braking components, preventing issues associated with long-term inactivity. While the MOT record is clear of advisories, a physical inspection should focus on high-mileage components typical for a 4MOTION Tiguan at 119,000 miles. The buyer should examine the suspension bushes and control arms for signs of wear, as these often perish at this mileage bracket. Given the four-wheel drive system, checking the condition of the transfer case and looking for any fluid leaks around the differentials is prudent. Additionally, although the MOT has not flagged corrosion, a close look at the underbody and exhaust mounting is advisable to ensure no structural rust has begun to develop beneath the surface.
