2019 Vauxhall Corsa Energy S/S 1.4L Petrol · ST69 LFS

The latest MOT test conducted on 6 January 2025 resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. Reviewing the history back to 2023, the vehicle has consistently passed its annual inspections without any recorded failures or advisories. This represents a highly stable maintenance trend, suggesting the vehicle has been kept in good mechanical order and that common wear and tear items have likely been addressed proactively before the official inspections. With a recorded mileage of 68,873 miles over approximately seven years, the vehicle has averaged roughly 9,839 miles per year. This usage rate is typical for a small hatchback of this age and indicates a balanced duty cycle. It avoids the risks associated with excessive long term standing, such as perished seals or seized calipers, while also avoiding the accelerated wear on drivetrain components and suspension bushes often seen in high mileage urban vehicles. Since the MOT history is exceptionally clean, the focus of a physical inspection should shift to age related degradation and service history verification. Despite the lack of MOT advisories, a buyer should closely examine the tyre sidewalls for signs of perishing or fine cracking, as rubber degrades over time regardless of remaining tread depth. Check the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting, and ensure the brake pedal feels firm without any shudder, which would indicate warping or binding calipers. Furthermore, it is essential to verify the service book stamps to ensure that oil and filter changes have been performed at the correct intervals, as calendar based fluid degradation occurs regardless of mileage. Inspect the 12V battery for any signs of leakage or terminal corrosion, and check the engine bay for any weeping gaskets or fluid leaks that may not have been significant enough to trigger an MOT failure but indicate impending maintenance. A test drive should focus on listening for any knocks from the suspension or unusual vibrations through the steering wheel, which would signal the natural wear of coil springs or suspension bushes.
