2009 Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0L Petrol · SV09 MGE

The 2026-03-06 MOT at 124,386 miles passed with no defects, confirming current roadworthiness and a stable maintenance trend. All tests since September 2023 have recorded zero defects, indicating that the vehicle’s condition has remained consistent without any evident deterioration. The mileage of 124,386 miles equates to roughly 7,300 miles per year over the vehicle’s 17‑year life, a rate typical for a well‑used 2009 Scirocco. The interval between the January 2025 test at 123,042 miles and the March 2026 test shows an accumulation of 1,344 miles in just over a year, while earlier gaps such as the 2022‑2023 period covered only 1,205 miles, suggesting regular use rather than long periods of inactivity. A buyer should therefore examine the suspension bushes and coil springs for wear, inspect the brake discs and calipers for binding or corrosion, and check the chassis and wheel arches for structural rust, as these components commonly develop issues even when MOT records show no defects. Further, the condition of the exhaust system, tyre tread depth, and wiper blade integrity should be verified in person, as the MOT history provides no insight into recent consumable wear.
