2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class 1.6L Petrol · T600 ABX

The 2018 Mercedes‑Benz A‑Class tested on 2025‑08‑21 at 55,535 miles passed its MOT with no defects recorded, confirming current roadworthiness. The vehicle has now passed four consecutive examinations since a solitary failure on 2023‑01‑28 at 44,948 miles, after which all subsequent tests showed zero defects, suggesting the earlier issue was resolved and no ongoing mechanical regression is evident. Mileage has risen from 44,948 miles in January 2023 to 55,535 miles by August 2025, averaging roughly 6,900 miles per year, which aligns with typical usage for an eight‑year‑old car. The interval between the 2023‑01‑28 test and the 2024‑01‑24 test covers about 4,446 miles in eleven months, while the most recent six‑month span added only 2,209 miles, indicating longer periods of inactivity. A buyer should therefore scrutinise the suspension bushes and coil springs for wear, verify that the brake calipers do not bind and that the discs show even wear, and inspect the chassis and under‑body for any corrosion that could compromise structural integrity. Check the exhaust system for excessive rust and confirm that all advisories from previous tests have been fully addressed. No evidence of repeated brake or suspension failures appears in the record, but the absence of documented defects does not replace a physical examination; the buyer must confirm that the vehicle’s current condition matches the clean MOT history.
