1999 Audi A3 1.9L Diesel · V267 EGM

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, showing a consistent pass record over the last three years. The most recent inspection conducted in November 2025 at 230,333 miles passed with no defects or advisories, indicating that the car currently meets the minimum legal safety standards. While a failure was recorded in November 2024, the immediate rectification and subsequent pass on the same day suggest the owner is proactive in addressing mechanical or safety faults when they arise. At 27 years old, this 1999 A3 has averaged approximately 8,500 miles per year, which aligns with typical usage patterns for a vehicle of this age. The mileage data shows a consistent progression, with roughly 1,500 to 1,600 miles covered between each annual test from 2022 through 2025. This steady usage suggests the vehicle has not suffered from long periods of stationary neglect, which often leads to the degradation of rubber components, seized calipers, and fluid contamination in older German vehicles. A prospective buyer should focus their physical inspection on structural integrity and suspension components common to high-mileage Audis. Although the MOT record shows no current advisories, the high mileage of 230,333 miles places significant stress on bushings, control arm ball, and shock absorbers. Inspect the chassis for corrosion around the sills and rear suspension mounting points, as these areas are prone to structural failure on this specific generation. Given the age and distance, checking for minor oil leaks and the condition of the brake lines is also essential to ensure the clean MOT history reflects a well-maintained mechanical state.
